Happiness is …
Happy, a state of contentment, joy, elation and peace within one’s inner self! If a man is happy within himself, is he happy in life? One’s inner self is ruled by two beings, either Satan or the Holy Spirit. Did you know, that man can be happy in this temporal world by the pleasures Satan gives him. Is this being happy within one’s inner man? It can be, if man knows nothing else. Man has become earthly prone! In other words, man likes what this temporal world has given him and man has made his bed with the enemy. Man has taken and is taking the wide path and trying to go through the wide gate to try to reach God and heaven. Man’s indentured service to the easy road or path in life is only leading him to the pits of hell. I can’t serve God, He makes me do things I do not want to do; He tells me it is wrong to do theses things; His word says it is not right to live the way I want to live; and I can’t do what I want to do without knowing that I am doing wrong; but, Satan’s way is easy and I feel good doing it or it makes me feel good.
What is happiness? The Holy
Bible tells us that "Happy are Thy men, happy are
these Thy servants, which stand continually before Thee, and that hear Thy
wisdom." 1 Kings 10:8. Do you know of anyone that can stand up and
say that they are happy when in actuality they are the most sad in heart and are
very unhappy? These men can be those who know the Lord and love Him but cannot
follow Him in His ways and understanding. True happiness is being a man of God,
one who serves Him in all His desires of His intended creation and thosemen who
will stand with and for Him through all attacks and temptations of the evil one,
Satan. Men are the happiest when they learn, understand, hear His wisdom and
then act upon this, God’s wisdom. If man will be honest with himself and
listen to his inner man, man will recall being happy after each time they
attended a message from God, whether it was in church, in their home or just
from a casual conversation with a man of God. God IS happy and when one hears of
God and of God’s wisdom man, if they will admit it to themselves, found a
little bit of happiness and will also receive a little happiness each and every
time they recall their presence with God. Have you had your presence with God?
God is with you always, for your presence with Him is available any time, any
where you invite Him in.

Remember that man has become ‘earthly prone’ and has accepted the things from this world? Man has to be instructed in the ways of God and in doingthis, man must be corrected for doing his earthly ‘things’. Correction doesn’t make for a happy man, does it? But, "Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:" Job 5:17. Can you remember the number of times you have been corrected by whipping or screaming or yelling in your face and how it left you feeling? I can remember receiving it and giving it out and it was not a very good feeling, most of the time it hurt and hurt quite bad for a while. God says that happy is a man who has been corrected by Him and that man must not accuse or degrade or talk bad about the Lord Almighty. ‘Earthly prone’ people, men that are not listening and understanding and acting upon God’s wisdom and only wanting the easy way out, want nothing to do with God, much less to be corrected by Him. Because most of them accuse God for the reason or reasons they are like they are today.
These men didn’t want to listen and learn and to walk with God, for they had been already captured by the evil one, Satan. They were liking the rewards, the ’earthly prone’ rewards Satan was giving them. They found an escape, an earthly temporal escape from their lack of wisdom in and by God. Their pain was toomuch from the world’s corrections, they have been cast out of man’s society, man let them down, man didn’t hold up his end of the bargain; hence, the failure of man’s society. But the things God offer to man, any man who will accept God’s correction, will become a lifetime and even an eternal life time or happiness. Do you believe God?

Proverbs Chapter 3 gives to the unhappy man and the chastening of man the words from the Lord Almighty. Man is in his ruts with only hearing just enough of God’s words to make man dislike God and His wisdom, to question Him enough that the promises from Satan are easier for man to do than to allow God His control. This is the reward from Satan for man accepting his ‘earthly prone’ ways.
The words of God in Proverbs
Chapter 3: "My son, forget not My law; but let thine
heart keep My commandments: for length of day, and long life, and peace, shall
they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind then about thy
neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: so shalt thou find favour and
good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all thine
heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge
Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the
Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy
bones. Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine
increase: so shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst
out with new wine. My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be
weary of His correction: for whom the Lord loveth He correcteth; even as a
father the son in whom he delighteth. Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and
the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the
merchandise of silver, and the gain therof than fine gold. She (wisdom) is more
precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be
compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand
riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are
peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every
one that retaineth her. The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by
understanding hath He established the heavens. By His knowledge the depths are
broken up, and the clods drop down the dew. My son, let not them depart from
thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: so shall they be life unto thy
soul, and grace to thy neck. Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy
foot shall not stumble. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea,
thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. Be not afraid of sudden fear,
neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. For the Lord shall be
thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken. Withhold not good from
them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. Say not
unto they neighbor, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou
hast it by thee. Devise not evil against thy neighbor, seeinghe dwelleth
securely by thee. Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no
harm. Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. For the froward
is abomination to the Lord: but this secret is with the righteous. The curse of
the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but He blesseth the habitation of the
just. Surely He scorneth the scorners: but He giveth grace
unto the lowly. The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion
of fools." Proverbs 3.

Happy, can you be happy while in this world and doing worldly things? How long does the pleasures of sin last? How long does the high from alcohol or the drugs last? Do they last longer than the time it takes for your head to straighten up? Then, what shape are you in? Back in the world, dieing of the all the worldly pleasures and worldly happiness! Is this happiness? For just a short time you are ‘happy’ from these worldly pleasures, then again, the bottom drops out! Right back in your ruts where Satan has put you. Then why does not God get me out of this rut? Have you ask Him and sought Him, are you truly tired of living in this rut and just enjoying the hourly pleasures this world is giving you?
God will not give you
anything you do not deserve, whether it be curses or blessings. Your life solely
depends on you and your choices you elect to live it by. It is never too late to
climb out of your rut and seek God and His wisdom. He is
always there right beside you watching you squirm in your rut. He is crying out,
why has he not called unto Me? Doesn’t he know I can lift him out of his rut
and cleanse his soul and set him free? I love him, but I am just and equal to
all mankind. I show no favoritism, I am impartial; but, I do love My creation
and desire to set all men free. I will be happier when man becomes happy in
Me!
As Apostle Paul said to King Agrippa in Acts of the Apostles 26:2, "I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:" Apostle Paul was happy even standing before his enemies, so can you be! We must answer for ourselves to God and it doesn’t matter what, why, how or who put you in the circumstances in which you are in your present condition happened. It is your choice to live through it and call out to the Lord for His mercy and forgiveness.
Man, you, must not be
ashamed to call out to God, for "If ye be reproached
for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the Spirit of Glory and of God resteth
upon you: on their part He is evil spoken of, but on your part He is
glorified."
1 Peter 4:14.
Man, no, YOU, repent of the ways you have elected to live, remove the stigma of the ‘earthly prone’ and live, and especially be HAPPY! Life, as you well know, tends to give man staggers and daggers instead of peace and happiness. Repent and be happy for time is way too precious to waste. Happinessdepends on you, will you chose temporal or eternal. Stand continually before God and hear, listen and understand His wisdom.
May your happiness be from God, Pastor Eddie
